Live Life 4 You

So today I was reminded of a very serious topic that is very near and dear to my own heart. It was brought to mind by a very close friend of mine we will call him Frost. Frost is in a very difficult situation in life. He lives at home with his family who are very into their religion (if you know what I mean). We had a conversation about our own personal practices and when I had asked him about his he really couldn't give me any examples.

I got a lot of excusies as to how his family kept him from his practice, and how he wasn't able to really practice. So I was really inspired to post this topic on how you need to live life 4 you. So what exactly do I mean by that.

One of the things that I love about being a witch is that I can make my own rules about my own life (as long as I follow the laws of my state). I won't say the reede because I hate the Wiccan Reede and feel it is very outdated, but that is a whole other post. Back on topic, my life is my life especially when it comes to my personal practice.

I do the things I do with my own practice because that is what feels right to me. I say this because in my own past. There were a lot of people who told me that what I practice simply isn't right. What it isn't right omg well let me change my entire life so that it is simply not offensive to you. Like that is ever going to happen right.

Well back to my friend Frost. His family tries to keep him in check and tries to live his life for him. So much to the point he feels he can't think for himself. Well I gave him a bit of advice and a short phone call later we really got to the point. I gave him a few pointers on how to take his life and think for himself.

The first one was practice what he believes. Even though his family situation dosn't allow him to have a ritual as many of us are used to, he still can do a ritual based on his belief. Even if that means every morning he wakes up silently tells himself an affirmation like, "today will be a good day" and has a glass of water. IT IS STILL A RITUAL as long as he makes it a ritual dedicated to himself and his craft.

The second was that he should live his life by his own example. His actions in this world define who he is as a person. If he lives his life for what he believes in it should be great with everything fine and dandy.

Getting to a wrap of of this post find a way to live your life for you and only you because only than will you ever be truly in tune with yourself.
